m3ultra 4b4e040032 Fable (integrator): v3 epoch charter — venues & gigs (John's pick)
Epoch decided: venue district + gig system. Charter defines the vision (seeded Friday
night: posters -> queue -> band room -> crowd with identity continuity), per-lane
ownership (A gig truth in plan, B venue nightscape + night-readability polish, C band-
room archetype + watch points, D band/crowd/queue rigs, E instruments/posters/genre
beds, F gig state machine + tags), three phases (alpha = one pub end-to-end), carried
ground rules, and three non-blocking questions for John. Round 11 (audio) is the
on-ramp; round 12 opens v3.

# PROCITY v3 epoch charter — VENUES & GIGS
Decided 2026-07-15 (John): the v3 epoch is **venue district + gig system**. (Runners-up —
editor/overrides, multiplayer presence — stay in V2_IDEAS for v4 consideration.)
This is a charter, not round instructions. Round 11 (audio) is in flight and is deliberately the
on-ramp: E's music-generation pipeline and B's WebAudio layers are the substrate gigs stand on.
Round 12 opens v3 proper; per-round instructions will slice this charter up.
## The vision
Friday night in Boolarra Heads. Posters around town said THE FERAL GALAHS are on at the Royal.
You follow the sound down the spine — streetlamp pools, a queue outside the pub door, muffled
bass through the bricks. Inside: sticky carpet, a three-piece on a low stage, the crowd from the
street (the same peds — identity continuity) packed in front, a bar keeper pouring. The band is
seeded, the setlist is seeded, the town's nightlife is deterministic from citySeed — same seed,
same scene, every machine.
## What each lane owns (contracts to freeze in round-12 instructions)
- **A (citygen)** — *gig truth.* Venue lot types (pub / band room / RSL hall; 24 venues per town,
placement rules e.g. spine end + warehouse fringe). Seeded band names (wordlists extension),
per-night gig schedule in the plan (`plan.gigs`: venueId, bandName, genreKey, startSeg, ticket
price), poster assignments (which walls/poles advertise which gig). CITY_SPEC v3 section.
Also owed from v2: the closing-time occupant ruling feeds the gig-night patronage surge.
- **B (streetscape)** — *the venue at night, from outside.* Marquee/poster signage (E skins),
lit venue frontage, door queue zone marker, muffled-interior audio spill (extends R11 door
spill: low-pass, not just gain). Plus the epoch's bundled polish: **night readability**
streetlamp pools, window light spill, so the night money shot finally has a face.
- **C (interiors)** — *the band room archetype.* Stage + PA + bar counter recipe, crowd floor
(watch-points contract — same pattern as browse points, cap ~812), green-room blocked door,
gig-night vs quiet-night variants of the same room (seeded). `room.audio` gains `gigKey` when
a gig is on.
- **D (citizens)** — *the crowd.* Audience rigs at watch points (browse-rig pattern, face-the-
stage), a 3-piece band on stage (instrument-holding idle loops), the **outdoor night queue**
(the parked v2 item — patrons visibly queue at the venue door before/during gigs), gig-night
patronage surge + identity continuity (the ped you followed in is in the crowd).
- **E (assets + audio)** — *instruments, posters, and the sound.* GLBs: guitar/bass/drum-kit/amp/
mic-stand (MODELBEAST pipeline, primitive fallbacks as ever). Poster/flyer skin pack (seeded
band names overprinted — like shop signs). Audio: per-genre live-band beds (instrumental,
parody-safe, extends gen_audio.py), crowd walla loop, applause sting.
- **F (integration)** — *gig night happens.* Time wiring (schedule → venue state machine:
quiet / doors / on / done), poster → tonight's-gig discoverability, door charge through the
existing wallet/buy seam, QA gates (gig determinism, crowd caps, audio-law compliance,
no-giants inherited), the v3 tag ladder (v3.0-alpha → v3.0).
## Phasing (three slices, one venue type first)
1. **v3.0-alpha — one pub, end-to-end.** A: one venue lot + one nightly gig in the plan. C: band
room archetype. D: band + small crowd. E: one genre bed + instruments. B: lit frontage. F: it
all fires at the right hour. Vertical slice over breadth, like interiors were.
2. **v3.0-beta — the district.** 24 venues, full schedule, posters around town, queue outside,
walla + applause, night-readability polish lands.
3. **v3.0 — the Friday-night experience.** Door charge, identity continuity into the crowd,
money-shot tour (the queue shot John wanted), soaks, docs, tag.
## Ground rules carried forward
Deterministic from citySeed everywhere · asset-free fallback everywhere (a gig with no GLBs is
placeholder figures on a primitive stage — still a gig) · audio house law (R11) applies to gig
audio · draw/leak budgets hold on gig nights (crowd cap is a budget number, not a vibe) ·
acceptance shots with humanoids carry the human-sized line · verification in fresh browser
contexts only.
## Open questions for John (non-blocking for alpha)
1. Door charge: flat seeded $2$10 through the wallet, or free entry for v3.0?
2. Can gig-goers "dance" (idle-variant loop) or stand-and-watch only for v3.0?
3. Band names: pure generator, or do you want a hand-written seed list mixed in (Feral Galahs
tier)?
