stay swappable per RSG's system. The editor enforces: no compile if a referenced
character/set id is missing; warn if ingredient still absent for active look.
## Flow bridge (Auto-Pilot extension — UPGRADE, found 2026-07-19)
John runs a "Flow Auto-Pilot / Labs FX Integration" extension in Brave, logged into
Flow, polling a LOCAL SERVER URL (`http://localhost:8017`): **Prompt Mode** pulls
prompts from the local server into the Flow tab; **DL Mode** sends results back.
server.py should ALSO serve that contract on :8017 — a prompt queue fed by the Shot
desk ("send to Flow") and a download-intake routing into `/api/clip`. TODO first:
inspect the extension's actual request format before building. Flow also now has a
native **character builder** — characters there (production/flow/CHARACTERS.md)
become the primary consistency anchor; FLUX stills are their image inputs.
## Flow reality check (no API)
Google Flow has no public API — generation stays manual in the browser. The editor
optimizes the human loop to: copy prompt → attach listed ingredients → gen →

# Flow character-builder mega prompts (canonical, cel80s look baked in)
Workflow per character: paste STYLE + Base as the character prompt, attach the
matching FLUX concept PNG as image input where one exists (hero_face_s1.png,
deadwax_s1.png, cat_s1.png in bible/concept/), generate, ADJUST until on-model
(watch-lists below), then append the Behaviour paragraph to the character's saved
description. Name characters in Flow with our block ids: hero, deadwax, cat,
boringguy, namedropper, postman, accountant — scene prompts reference these ids.
STYLE (top of every character):
1980s hand-drawn cel animation style, theatrical animated feature quality, thick
confident ink outlines, painterly gouache rendering, dramatic colored rim lighting,
saturated jewel-tone palette, subtle film grain. Not photorealistic, not 3D, not CGI.
## hero — DEZ
Base: Dez, a lanky 20-something record store clerk with long legs and expressive
hands. Tall messy black quiff, olive skin, thick expressive eyebrows, slight
confident smirk. Open red flannel shirt over a faded black band t-shirt, rolled
dark jeans, scuffed white hi-top sneakers, oversized silver headphones always worn
around his neck. His silhouette must always read: quiff, open flannel, neck
headphones.
Behaviour: Rubber-limbed physical acting like a Don Bluth protagonist — big takes,
panicked scrambles, athletic leaps, comic double-takes. Brave but perpetually in
over his head. Never speaks; communicates entirely in yelps, gulps and expressions.
Adjust watch-list: keep him LANKY (drifts stocky); no facial hair; no hat;
headphones around neck, never on ears.
## deadwax — THE DEAD WAX
Base: A towering villain made entirely of glossy black molten liquid vinyl that
drips upward against gravity. Its shifting mass sprouts limbs that are dripping
turntable tonearms with chrome needle tips. Its face is a slowly spinning 12-inch
record with a hypnotic red label for an eye; groove lines ripple across its whole
body and neon light reflects off its wet surface. Room-filling scale, always looming.
Behaviour: Moves like slow liquid, strikes like a whip, instantly reforms after any
damage. Radiates smug patience. Warps the room around itself. Silent except for
vinyl crackle and run-out groove clicks.
## cat — MILDRED
Base: A fat gray-striped tabby store cat with half-closed judgmental eyes, white
chest, sitting upright with her tail curled, usually on a wooden record crate.
Behaviour: Does not care. Watches catastrophes unmoved, slow-blinks at deaths,
knocks exactly one object off a shelf with one paw at the worst possible moment,
and is always the only survivor in frame.
## boringguy — THE BORING GUY
Base: A beige man in his 50s: tucked-in taupe polo, pleated khakis, gray combover,
lanyard with an unreadable badge, reusable coffee cup. Soft, entirely unremarkable
face.
Behaviour: Settles in against the counter like he's never leaving. Talks
continuously with small pointing gestures at nothing. Completely oblivious to any
surrounding catastrophe — floods, lava and monsters never interrupt his monologue.
## namedropper — THE NAME-DROPPER
Base: A smug man in an expensive vintage leather jacket over a suspiciously
deadstock-clean band t-shirt, designer glasses, precisely groomed stubble, phone
always in one hand.
Behaviour: Performative browsing — holds records up without looking at them, does
air quotes, smirks while waiting to be asked. Never buys anything. When out-flexed
by someone naming a rarer record, he dissolves into vapor with a look of profound
shame.
## postman — THE POSTMAN
Base: A postal worker in an immaculate uniform: pressed shorts, high socks,
mirrored aviator sunglasses, an enormous parcel-laden satchel, granite jaw set in
permanent righteousness.
Behaviour: Kicks doors open and enters in slow motion like an action hero. Moves
with terrifying procedural calm, produces regulation documents from the satchel,
executes those who bring the postal service into disrepute, salutes afterward.
## accountant — THE ACCOUNTANT
Base: A gaunt figure in a gray suit slightly too tight, green banker's visor,
sleeve garters, round glasses that catch the light so his eyes are never visible,
leather ledger under one arm, red pen behind his ear.
Behaviour: Rises vertically through the floor like a surfacing submarine. Adjusts
his glasses with one finger, opens the ledger, taps a single line, and ends a life
as a bookkeeping correction. Sinks back through the floor when balanced.
